Terms of Service

DueNotice is an invoicing tool from JustLedger. These terms are the rules for using it. They are not legal advice. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the service.

What this is

DueNotice lets you write invoices, send a link, keep reminder drafts, mark invoices paid or void, export a PDF, and (when you connect payments) collect money from your own customers. You are the business. Your customer is theirs, not ours.

What this is not

We are not your accountant, bookkeeper, bank, payroll, tax preparer, lawyer, or SMS carrier. We do not file taxes, keep your books, or mail paper invoices for you. Reminder drafts do not send until you tap send. If you text a customer, you are the sender.

Your account

You need a working email to sign in. You are responsible for that inbox and for what you enter: customer names, amounts, notes, and payment links. One person, one business per account for now. Do not share your sign-in link.

Your customers

You may only store people you have a real reason to invoice. You are responsible for having permission to email or text them. We do not sell their information. Public invoice links can be opened by anyone who has the link — treat the link like a bill you handed someone.

Payments

Card charges on an invoice go to the Stripe account you connect, not to JustLedger, except for your DueNotice subscription. PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App buttons open those apps. If you mark an invoice paid by hand, that is your record. We are not a party to the job you invoiced.

Price

You can create five invoices for free. After that, DueNotice is $9 a month unless we post a different price here. We may pause new invoices if billing fails. You can stop anytime; money records you already created stay in the system.

Acceptable use

Do not use DueNotice for fraud, spam, scams, or anything illegal. Do not try to break in, scrape other people’s invoices, or abuse public links. We can close an account that does.

Availability

We will try to keep the service up. We do not promise it will never break, lose a message, or go down. Export a PDF if you need a paper copy. Do not use DueNotice as your only copy of a legal record without your own backup.

Disclaimer

The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant that amounts, tax, reminder wording, or payment status are correct. You check the invoice before you send it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, JustLedger and the people running DueNotice are not liable for lost jobs, unpaid invoices, missed reminders, or indirect damages. If a court says we owe you something, it will not be more than the subscription fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Florida law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute has to go to court, the courts in Florida have venue, unless the law says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change is material, we will say so in the app or by email when we can. Using DueNotice after that date means you accept the new terms.
